AFC Preschool Application

Application Process

In order for your child to be considered for enrollment at the Ambrose Family Center, the child must reside in the Webster Groves School District (or have a parent employed by WGSD*) and the preschool application above must be completed and turned in to Ambrose with a copy of your child's state-issued birth certificate and the non-refundable application fee (please make checks payable to "AFC"). Your child will then be placed on the appropriate waitlist. The application will not be considered complete and your child will not be placed on the waitlist until we receive all the above documents and payments.

The application fee can be mailed in to the Ambrose Family Center main office at:

222 W. Cedar Ave, Webster Groves, MO 63119

Please note that in accordance with district policies, in order for your child to be considered eligible for enrollment and placed on the waitlist, they must be at least 2 (but no older than 3) by July 31st of the chosen program year to be eligible for the Full Day toddler classrooms and at least 3 (but no older than 5) by July 31st of the chosen program year to be eligible for either the Full Day 3-5 year old classrooms or the Half Day** classrooms.

If you have any questions regarding the application, please contact us at 314-963-6440 or by email.

*Please note that we do not offer discounted tuition, other than need-based scholarships (if available), for WGSD staff.

**Due to SSD service requirements, we try to place all children in the Half Day classrooms in their cohort group. This means that we aim to place 3 year olds in the morning classrooms and 4 year olds in the afternoon classrooms for the duration of the school year. Half Day children are expected to move on to the afternoon classroom at the start of their second year at Ambrose along with their classroom peers so that the cohort group stays together.
