Parents as Teachers
What is PAT?
The Webster Groves School District Parents as Teachers (PAT) Program has been supporting families with young children for over 30 years. PAT is an extended support system for all families, promoting family and community engagement. Services and programs are free, play-based and offered in the home, at the Ambrose Family Center, and throughout the community.
Parents and caregivers are their children’s first and most influential teachers. The caring PAT staff promote child development, learning, and health of children by supporting and engaging their parents and caregivers through fun activities, developmental/health screenings and resources.
We are dedicated to advancing equity in our community. Being responsive to the individual needs of each family, Parent Educators strive to cultivate positive and supportive relationships.
Opportunities are also provided to connect with other families in the community through open play times at Ambrose Family Center, parent learning nights, and community events.
